Korean · English Pediatric Speech Therapy — Orange County

Therapy in the language your child lives in. 아이가 편안한 언어로 시작하는 언어치료

For children growing up with Korean at home, an accurate evaluation — and real progress — begins in the language they actually speak. i Level Speech is a Korean-English bilingual pediatric practice built for exactly that.

Free. No pressure — a conversation first, in Korean or English.

Why the home language matters

A fair evaluation starts in the right language.정확한 평가는, 올바른 언어에서 시작됩니다.

When a child who lives in Korean is evaluated only in English, a simple language difference can look like a language disorder — and the plan that follows aims at the wrong target, slowing the very progress you came for.

i Level evaluates and treats children in the language they truly use — Korean, English, or both. The picture is accurate from day one, and progress comes faster because it's built on how your child actually communicates.

Bilingualism has never caused a speech delay. 이중언어가 언어 지연의 원인이 되지는 않습니다. Your child never has to give up one language to grow in the other.
Sound familiar? · 혹시 이런 모습인가요?

You know your child best. Trust that feeling.

If something about how your child communicates has been on your mind — in Korean, in English, or in the space between — it's worth a conversation.

What you might be noticing

Early signs일반적인 신호

  • Fewer words than other children their age
  • Hard for others to understand what they say
  • Frustration when they can't get their point across
  • Not yet combining words into short phrases
  • Sound errors that stand out past the expected age
  • Losing words or skills they seemed to have before
Between two languages

The bilingual question이중언어 고민

  • "Is my child behind — or just growing up between two languages?"
  • Quieter or more hesitant in one language than the other
  • Mixing Korean and English within a single sentence
  • Understands Korean at home but rarely speaks it back
  • Worried they're slowly losing their Korean
  • Told to "just pick one language" — unsure if that's right

If any of this feels familiar, a short conversation can bring clarity — and recognizing it early, in the right language, is the most important first step.

★★★★★

"My son receives therapy from Mrs. Julie, who is bilingual in English and Korean. I want him to be fluent in Korean given his heritage, and she supports this by helping him practice Korean in addition to English. She gives comprehensive feedback after every session, and her play-based approach is ideal for my three-year-old. I highly recommend her."

— Cynthia L.

Good questions · 자주 묻는 질문

Before you reach out.

Will raising my child bilingual cause a speech delay?

No. Growing up with two languages does not cause a speech or language disorder. If a delay exists, it appears in both languages — which is exactly why an evaluation in your child's home language matters.

Do you accept insurance?

We are an out-of-network provider and don't bill insurance directly. After each session we provide a Superbill you can submit to your insurer for possible reimbursement. Whether and how much is reimbursed is determined entirely by your specific plan.

What ages do you work with?

We focus on toddlers and young children — generally ages 1 to 5 — during the critical early window when support makes the biggest difference.

Can sessions be in Korean, English, or both?

Yes. Julie is fully bilingual and tailors each session to how your child communicates — Korean, English, or a blend — and speaks with parents in whichever language is most comfortable.
